Life imitating Art or vise versa?

The Louvre Museum in Paris is showing off a nice classic roller piece by the fine artists COST & REVS. 
The work is a good representation of their early 90s lower Manhattan "Blitzkrieg" period. 
Its located in the McDonalds in the basement. Its come to light however that its actually a fake.
